Day 1
Together with lungo local tour Ethiopia Take a morning flight to Dire Dawa and then drive to Harar and then out to Babile and the Valley of Marvels. The Valley of Marvels has wonderful landscapes, famous for its balancing rock formations. In addition to the Elephant Sanctuary, the town of Babile has a very large market on Saturdays and a camel market on Mondays and Thursdays. We then return to Harar. Overnight guest house in Harar.
Day 2
Together with lungo local tour Ethiopia City tour of the medieval walled city of Harar to see its mosques, minarets, colorful markets, baskets and a center of Muslim learning. Visit the colorful house of the French poet Arthur Rimbaud, the grand market and Harari traditional houses. An afternoon drive back down to Dire Dawa for our flight back to Addis Ababa.
